We began our seasonal site at Southpark Apartments w/Franklinton Farms (FF). In addition to fresh produce, FF had a food truck present with a hot meal. We served 15 families and will increase our number to 20 families and adjust accordingly.
A first for our current team, was delivering paper bags to our Southpoint townhomes doorsteps in a torrential downpour!! Our bags amazingly held up at least to the doorway…! We also met the cutest dog, Zoey, when delivering to the apartments. She was a very friendly dog and well behaved.
Riverview is still in a state of flux. We were able to bring food for 15 families to their new office space on Old Henderson Rd. We will continue to help during their many transitions for the next few months. We hope to be back at serving 40 families. We are taking this one month at a time.
Our team is delighted to welcome Patti Webb as our newest volunteer. Patti has already bagged and gone with us to two of our sites. She is a wonderful addition to our team!
We couldn’t begin to do our outreach without our volunteers and donors. We are so thankful for their dedication.
