Easter Sunday, April 20
We invite you to join us at First Community Church for Easter Sunday. Please see the schedule of worship services below.

Monday, April 21
First Community Church and Heart to Heart are closed Easter Monday, April 21. There are no volunteer shifts on Monday, due to the holiday!

Wed Shop & Stock
Wednesday, April 23 is the last time that the Youth Team will staff the Wednesday evening Shop & Stock shift for the school year. That means we will need volunteers for this shift through August. This is a great opportunity for working adults!
From 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Wednesdays, shop-n-stockers will work in the food pantry’s dry good storage areas. Volunteers should enter the main church building through the kitchen door, down the alley, by the red donation cart. They will stock donations, fill all of the empty dry goods boxes, and restock shelves. Stocking requires repetitive heavy lifting.

Thanks Youth Team!
…on that note, we give thanks to the staff and volunteers of the youth team. Your consistent presence every Wednesday evening is both fun and productive. We wish Rev. Sarah Kientz and Will Bertke (pictured below) the best of luck at Camp Akita this summer. See you next fall!

Thank You
… to the volunteers and donors made these events successful:
- Saturday’s Shred Day garnered donations for many FC mission ministry teams including pill bottles, plastic bags, clothing and items for our thrift store. Heart to Heart received 102 pounds in donations alone. Thank you to Mike Collins and Trudy Krisher for managing our participation in that event.
- We received 473 pounds in jelly alone during Sunday morning’s monthly collection during worship services. Veteran volunteers, Becky and Susan definitely got their workout!
- Also this week, the First Community Midweek Missions students donated 121 birthday bag kits!
Thank you, Amanda!
While we’re thanking people, we should mention that next Wednesday, April 23, is Administrative Professional’s Day. Give a shout out to Amanda Brofford, Administrative Assistant, if you see her next week. Since joining the Mission staff, her diligence and attention to detail have helped our team function better than ever before.

Last Blog Post
Today we make our last post here on the Heart to Heart Happenings blog. Starting next week, we will send out an email only each Saturday. This new format will include both a short message from Yohan, and the content previously available here in the blog. We hope the new format encourages readership of all information. Click here to sign up* for these weekly emails from Heart to Heart.
*If you have previously unsubscribed from Heart to Heart or First Community emails, you will need to resubscribe here. This must be done by the email user, and cannot be done by church staff.
Social Media
Make sure you are following the Heart to Heart on both Facebook and Instagram. Social media is one of the best ways for the world to share information! Every time you like or comment on one of our posts, it promotes engagement across the platform. When you share our posts, the information is immediately visible to those in your circle! It quickly helps spread our message- whether it be resource information, a plea for donations, or a volunteer opportunity. Sharing on social media is an easy way to support our mission. Check out these posts from the past week to see what you may have missed.
